Situation

Due to the sanctions pressure, one of the largest Russian kicksharing services was forced to close its business in Europe and asked us to transport more than 2,000 units of electric scooters from Budapest and Lisbon to various locations in the CIS

Problem

When the cargo was already in transit, a new package of EU sanctions came into force, imposing restrictions on the export of batteries from the EU

Solution

After studying the sanctions restrictions, we decided that the import of batteries is possible when they are installed in scooters, as this qualifies as the import of batteries as part of the equipment and is not limited to sanctions
The cars were stopped in transit and it was decided to equip the scooters with batteries

Timely delivery of equipment despite unplanned cargo handling in transit
Prompt route change for a part of the cargo
Timely informing the client about changes in the rules for the export of goods from the EU
Exclusion of cargo withdrawal at the border
