Situation

During the construction of a new ski resort in a remote region of Russia, a transformer supplier contacted us with a request to arrange transportation of 24 items of equipment with a total weight of 124.7 tons, of which there were 2 transformer bodies weighing 46.9 tons each

Problems

At the stage of transportation planning, the customer informed that the Chinese supplier was requesting to pick up the cargo as soon as possible, while the agreed pick-up time was only 4 weeks later
When the shipment arrived at the port of Nakhodka and the cargo was awaiting customs clearance, it turned out that the final site for cargo acceptance was not ready and an open storage facility was required

Solution

After receiving information about the change in the loading date, our team selected a new route within 10 days, replacing the type of transport and carriers; the initial cost has not changed
As a result of the unavailability of the final site to receive the cargo, we organized cargo transportation and storage as soon as possible for the next 5 months
